¿QUÉ ES LA REGISTRACION?

REGISTRATION
It is very difficult to recognize and know all the people who come to Our Lady of Guadalupe. It is not like in a small town where everyone knows everyone. We invite you to register in the church family, come to Mass regularly, and contribute to the church. Being a registered member means belonging to the church community. We do not ask you to contribute a certain amount, only what you can comfortably afford. Your contributions will be entered into the church records indicating that you are a member of the parish community.

WHY IS REGISTRATION SO IMPORTANT?
With your registration, we know how many people participate in the church community and with your contribution envelopes we know who comes to church weekly thus making it easier to help with spiritual assistance.   Without being registered, it is impossible to know that you come to church weekly and are assisting the church financially. With you and your family being registered you have the following right: The church helps you with your spiritual needs. You also have an obligation to assist the church with its necessities.

WHO SHOULD REGISTER?
a) Father, mother and their family, b) Sons/Daughters of legal age c) Married sons/daughters living in the same house d) Other family members living in the same house, e) Single mothers living in the same house. If a family member is not working, place an envelope in the collection noting that you are not working. When you do acquire a job, you can again start donating to the church.

WITH YOUR REGISTRATION YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING RIGHTS:
a) Baptism  b) Confirmation c) Funerals d) Marriage ceremony e) 15th Birthday celebration f) Religious education for your children  g) Preparation for matrimony  h) Immigration letters  i) Letters of recommendation j) Classes for baptism or matrimony k) At year end, a contribution letter will be given to you for income tax purposes.

WITH YOUR REGISTRATION YOU HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO HELP:
You contributions to the church make it possible to pay the bills such as electricity, gas, telephone and repairs needed for the church's upkeep Your help is also needed in many other ways such as, helping clean the church and yard, at our twice yearly carnivals, etc. The Pastor will spend the money only as needed and after much discussion and praying on the cause.
